Logitech has just released an interactive mouse application for the iPhone/iPod touch platform. With this app you can remotely (through your wireless network) control the mouse and keyboard functions of your computer. The best part is that the app is completely free via the AppStore. After testing out the app, its extremely responsive and has a lot of configurable options. The software is a simple worry free install;  In order to start using Logitech’s TouchMouse App you need to go to http://bit.ly/9YMnj7 and download Logitech’s  “server” software which allows your iPod touch or iPhone to connect to your computer effortlessly. After the server software is installed just open up the app on your device and select your computer from the list above and off you go.  If your computer does not seem to be on the list above you can use the IP address option, your IP address can easily be found by right clicking on the Logitech TouchMouse server icon in your taskbar.

I found this app very useful, especially if you have your TV hooked up to your computer or  you are doing a presentation. Go check it out, its really worth a try if you have an iPhone or a iPod touch.

Lately I’ve been getting back into using Twitter and seeing what a great resource it really is. I thought I would share some neat Twitter tools that everyone can use.

If you are just befuddled with who to follow on Twitter, check out Mr.Tweet. Mr.Tweet shows you a list of people to follow based on who you currently follow and who follows you. It’s a great resource to find some interesting people to follow. To start using Mr.Tweet check out their website here.

Another great Twitter Tool is Goodbye Buddy, this is a great tool if you want to keep track of your followers. Every time that someone unfollows you, Goodbye Buddy Will send you a direct message via Twitter informing you who unfollowed you that day. To start using Goodbye Buddy just follow them on Twitter, check out their website here.

TwitterFeed is a widely known Twitter tool and is very helpful to many bloggers in general. I use it for JeffOnTheGo to forward posts to  the JeffOnTheGo Twitter feed which is its main feature. Check them out at their site here.

One of the most interesting Twitter tools that I have come across so far would be Magpie. Magpie is a company that pays you to post advertisements using Twitter. The basis for getting paid is, the more followers you have the more money you have the chance to make, but there are a lot of other things that can affect your max Magpie income like if followers click the ad etc… I personally have not signed up yet, but never say never! Check them out here.

Smashing Magazine has a pretty complete list of Twitter tools you can check out here.

If you have any suggestions for some great Twitter tools, leave a comment and let me know!

Happy Tweeting

My first impression of the new iPad is that its basically a larger version of the iPod touch, one of  which I proudly own. I really think Apple messed up with the iPad, partly because they forgot a lot of key features that consumers want. One of the most important features that apple left out was a camera, with new applications like Ustream and Qik allowing iPhone users to stream live video from their device, why wouldn’t apple include  a camera? Now most of the time Apple excludes such large updates purely for marketing purposes but in the case of the iPad I think they went a little too far. Even being so bold to exclude flash diminishes Job’s comments about how it’s the perfect web browsing experience. I wonder how perfect it can be if there is a box with a question mark in it at just about every webpage?

As a lot of other bloggers around the tech scene have remarked, this device is targeted towards non techies, I agree with them, because I personally couldn’t do any more with the iPad then what I do with my iPod touch besides enjoy the bigger screen. What I found really comical about the device is that the unlock button is the exact same size as the iPhone or iPod touch! Didn’t they think of proportion when designing this thing? Another rumor flowing around is that the iPad is a kindle killer, Read More >>

With the holiday season well underway, everyone is calling their loved ones to wish them well. This year Talkster and Rebtel have partnered together to make that even easier and cheaper. Talkster and Rebtel are offering the first 10,000 people who sign up at Talkster.com $5 worth of calling credit to lessen those holiday calling costs. You can sign up at Talkster.com for this great deal.

James Wanless released this statement in a press release earlier this week.

“Talkster understands the holidays are the time of year when connecting with friends and family, especially those away from home, is important to all of us,this special holiday offer gives our customers even more to celebrate. With international calling rates as little as .08 cents a minute to call places like Thailand, we are making the whole world that much closer. People can talk for as long as they want without worrying about being hit with a huge phone bill.”

Happy Holidays!  And don’t miss out on this great holiday deal!
