IM Device Woes

I have been searching lately for an IM device, something that not necessarily uses Meebo, but something to that effect. Think of putting Peek and Meebo together, in my view this would be the perfect mobile device. It has 2 essential features that are necessary for mobile device that can compete on the market which are email and IM capabilities. In my quest for this device, i discovered 2 possible options.

1. Getting a cell phone with Internet capability (A.K.A Blackberry,Android phone etc…) This option is quite expensive ranging from 44-71 dollars a month not including the phone.

2. Getting a Wi-Fi device such as the Mylo or something similar and buying the MiFi mobile broadband router with the 2 year plan (saves you some dough…) and this usually runs around $60 a month for Sprint and Verizon who are currently the only carriers that have the MiFi.

These 2 options really just don’t persuade me price wise because who is going to pay up to 71 dollars just for a phone with Internet. Maybe I should start my own company ^^.

I just got my Kajeet phone in (it does include eBuddy Lite which isn’t my favorite but better than nothing), so look for a review later this week.
