Babbel is a cool (and FREE) language learning website and it also has quite a decent social community that is slowly forming. I started using Babbel about 3 months ago because I thought I needed a little refresher course in French. I am fluent in French, but it never hurts to push the limit of ones knowledge. I found the site very helpful in it’s virtual teaching methods and I highly recommend it to any high school student enrolled in language courses. Since it has a fairly decent community and it’s easy to find a learning partner for the same language, or to help someone learn English, and they help you learn French as a possible example.
Babbel offers 5 different languages that are available to learn:
French
German
English
Italian
Spanish
Babbel starts by teaching you basic vocabulary, and all their lessons are very visual and sound based where each word is pronounced and shown in an image. After the vocabulary lesson, Babbel allows you to review your recently learned vocab words anytime you want and on the homepage it will always have a refresher course ready for you. You can visit Babbel here and if your in business or in school, its a great way to learn or review the language of your choice and possibly meet some friends to help you along the way.
